Everyone (and by everyone, I mean parents) get excited when it’s time to go back to school in the fall. It wasn’t until I became a parent that I understood why my mom got so happy around this time of year. My son isn’t old enough yet, but I started thinking of all the fun things that I would like to do when he starts school. Of course I have to incorporate baking into it, so I thought of making “Back to School” cookies.
I wanted to do crayons, pencils, pens, backpacks, apples, and chalkboards, but then I took a chill pill and settled for the crayons, an apple, and a chalkboard. Next year around the beginning of the school year I may add more to the list. However I still had fun making the ones that I did. I even ran a special for teachers if they ordered some.

|A couple details added on the apple and chalkboard.|
|Letting them dry overnight.|

I can’t wait for next school year! I have so many ideas!
